Caterpillar's Building Construction Products (BCP) division offers an opportunity to join our sales organization as a Sales Director for small and compact equipment. This leadership role oversees a team in the Asia Pacific, Africa, and Middle East regions. If you're seeking a leadership role with impact, this is an excellent opportunity.


Role Summary

Lead a team typically comprised of sales execution, dealer sales and technical support, application experts, and product support field personnel to achieve goals that increase customer loyalty across the Business Construction Products division.


Support dealers in developing and implementing strategies and processes for BCP Solutions growth—covering machines, attachments, parts, service, and CVA sales in their assigned territories.


Increase industry customer spend on Caterpillar products and services and foster customer loyalty.


What You Will Do

  • Responsible for achieving the Business Plan for machines, parts, and work tool sales, sales execution, and managing budget variances.
  • Provide product/application expertise, dealer sales support, and product support to dealers and customers.
  • Implement go-to-market strategies.
  • Achieve PINS and POPS-C goals in your territory, and oversee the product profitability view for your industry.
  • Establish and monitor policies and guidelines for projects to meet management goals and achieve desired results.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, major issues, regulatory considerations, and how to apply this knowledge.
  • Customer focus and ability to leverage customer insights for solutions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
  • Negotiation skills for successful internal and external negotiations.
  • Business development skills to explore and develop growth opportunities.
Top Candidates Will Have
  • Experience with configuration tools and solution-based selling.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience hosting workshops and demos.
  • Track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering results.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar's go-to-market strategy and regional dealer network.
