Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products (BCP) division offers an opportunity to join our sales organization as a Sales Director for small and compact equipment. This leadership role oversees a team in the Asia Pacific, Africa, and Middle East regions. If you seek a leadership position with impact, this is a great opportunity for you.

Role Summary :

Lead a team typically comprising sales execution, dealer sales and technical support, application experts, and product support personnel to achieve goals that increase customer loyalty within the Business Construction Products division. Support dealers in developing and implementing strategies and programs for BCP solutions growth, including machines, attachments, parts, and service, as well as CVA sales in their territories. Increase industry customer spend on Caterpillar products and services and foster customer loyalty.

What You Will Do :

  • Achieve the Business Plan for machines, parts, and work tool sales, manage sales execution, and oversee budget variances.
  • Provide product / application expertise, support dealer sales execution, and deliver product support to dealers and customers.
  • Achieve PINS and POPS-C goals in your territory and oversee product profitability for your industry segment.
  • Establish and monitor policies and guidelines for projects to meet management goals and desired outcomes.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, major issues, regulatory considerations, and how to apply this knowledge.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to create tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
  • Successful negotiation skills and experience.
  • Business development expertise to explore growth opportunities.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with configuration tools and solution-based selling.
  • Strong presentation skills, including hosting workshops and demos.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results timely.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar’s go-to-market strategy and regional dealer network.
