Job summary

Ventures Middle East is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Manager to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the BCM framework across the GCC and wider MENA region.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, BIAs, staff training, and regular testing of BCPs/DRPs in collaboration with IT and business units. CBCI certification is preferred, with 6+ years in BCM and a related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or related field required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Business Continuity Management.
• In-depth knowledge of BCM frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 22301).
• Proficiency with BCM solutions such as Clearview and Castellan.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's BCM framework.
• Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Review and update BCM policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and BIAs to identify threats and impacts to operations.
• Collaborate with departments to gather data and analyze critical functions.
• Utilize BCM solutions for planning, implementation, and management of BCM activities.
• Customize BCM tools to meet organizational needs.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure effective recovery strategies.
• Conduct BCM training and awareness programs for staff.
• Ensure staff are aware of roles during disruption.
• Plan and execute regular testing and exercises of BCM plans.
• Evaluate effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
• Serve on incident response team during disruptions.

• Ensure staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in the event of a disruption.
• Plan and execute regular testing and exercises of BCPs and DRPs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as a key member of the incident response team during disruptions.
• Coordinate response activities and communication to ensure swift recovery and continuity of operations.
• Monitor and review BCM performance metrics.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on lessons learned and feedback.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who meets the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Business Continuity Management.
• In-depth knowledge of BCM frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 22301).
• Proficiency with BCM solutions such as Clearview and Castellan.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
