Job Purpose
Carries out and supervises maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and Third Party aircraft undergoing Line & Base Maintenance Checks, including inspections, repairs, component replacement, and records work according to standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Verifies and ensures the readiness of Battery Shop stock as per standards and required quantities.
  • Reviews task cards with the Workshop Supervisor for clarity on work scope, priorities, and documentation before starting work.
  • Prepares and performs scheduled Battery maintenance, ensuring proper documentation, parts, tools, and GSE are used.
  • Performs component Battery tests and inspections to identify defects or damage per maintenance procedures.
  • Conducts defect troubleshooting and rectification following approved data and instructions.
  • Signs off maintenance tasks within scope of authority, verifying completion to standards.
  • Coordinates with Engineers and Technicians to ensure proper task execution and handover.
  • Coordinates with the Technical Buyer for component replacements, ensuring timeliness and readiness.
  • Ensures safety precautions are followed during maintenance tasks.
  • Uses proper GSE and protective equipment to prevent injuries.
  • Manages human factors to avoid task interruption and ensure proper handovers.
  • Provides support and professional advice to operational teams and presents a positive image of technical professionalism to Flight Crews, personnel, and customers.
  • Maintains awareness of component maintenance costs and minimizes waste and unnecessary repairs.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • Holds or has held an Aeronautical diploma or equivalent, with necessary Aircraft Maintenance License and approvals for Airbus 320 components.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 Category License.
  • Proficient in English for technical communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.

Work Experience

External applicants

  • Extensive experience in a workshop role.
  • At least 2 years’ experience maintaining the same component, preferably Airbus types.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
