Make your mark as a Base GIS/CAD Technician at Horizon Geosciences!

The Base GIS/CAD Technician must ensure that all survey GIS/charting work performed by the Company is accurate, correct, and meets the quality expectations of the Company and Clients. The technician is responsible for conducting GIS/charting activities in accordance with company standards, instructions, and priorities provided by the reporting heads.

Your responsibilities as a Base GIS/CAD Technician

• Conduct GIS updates/charting and simple processing activities as directed by the GIS Coordinator or Chief Data Processor.
• Maintain the survey information filing system and database.
• Perform quality control of project charts upon return from the field (when required).
• Maintain and develop the company's GIS/CAD standards.

Qualifications

Your qualities and experience

• Relevant education at a diploma or similar level.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience with AutoCAD/GIS software for surveying applications.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (as per the Horizon Communication Policy).
• Familiar with equipment and software used within the company.
