Job Description

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Bartender to join our Greek Restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting beverages, supporting service staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

About The Job

Based in Dubai at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, the Bartender will prepare and serve a variety of beverages, assist in creating new drinks, and support the restaurant team under the guidance of managers and supervisors. The role reports to the Sommelier.

Key Responsibilities

• Explain the outlet's concept and beverage offerings to guests.
• Mix and serve cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, spirits, beers, and wines, garnishing as per standards.
• Handle customer complaints effectively and report issues to management.
• Set up and maintain the bar, including inventory checks and stock management.
• Clean and sanitize the bar area after shifts and conduct periodic deep cleaning.
• Assist in creating promotional drinks and operate POS systems.

Candidate Requirements

• High School qualification or equivalent; a degree or higher diploma in Hospitality/Hotel Management is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience as a bartender in a high-end bar, with 2 years in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Basic computer skills, strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of bar standards, spirits, and cigars.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
