Job summary

InterContinental Fujairah Resort, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Bartender to craft beverages and deliver personalized guest service at the world-class bar. You will maintain beverage quality, hygiene and efficiency, collaborating with the bar, restaurant and other departments to support smooth operations.

The role requires 1–2 years of hotel bar experience, strong English communication, and knowledge of HACCP and responsible alcohol service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in hotels in similar position.
• Food service experience with general knowledge of Bar & restaurant operations preferred.
• Must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Good command of English language, both oral and written. Other languages is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
• Strong communication, teamwork, customer service, and upselling skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized bar service.
• Work closely with the bar, restaurant, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations, supporting the team during busy periods.
• Set up and replenish the bar with beverages, coffee, tea, milk, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to recipes and hotel standards, while promoting house drinks and upselling to maximize revenue.
• Handle guest payments and transactions in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve complaints using appropriate service recovery procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized bar areas and ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and in proper working condition.
• Manage beverage stock, requisitions, liquor inventory, and orders, ensuring proper storage, security, and stock rotation in accordance with hotel procedures and HACCP, FIFO, and FEFO standards.
• Follow hotel, safety, hygiene, and local legislative requirements at all times.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Your Day to Day:

As a Bartender, you will prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional and personalized guest service. Ideally, youll have some or all of the following competencies and experience were looking for:
