IHG Hotels & Resorts’ InterContinental Fujairah Resort is seeking a Restaurant Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and guide service to ensure a memorable dining experience along Al Aqah Beach. Your Day to Day:

Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you’ll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Welcome guests warmly, manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements.
• Provide menus, explain restaurant offerings, and answer guest inquiries.
• Maintain good knowledge of the menu, promotions, and restaurant facilities.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond professionally to requests and complaints.
• Communicate VIP arrivals, special occasions, and guest preferences to the service team.
• Coordinate with Restaurant Supervisors, Managers, and F&B colleagues for smooth operations.
• Maintain clean and updated menus, promotional materials, and restaurant information.
• Prepare and maintain accurate buffet tags and food labels.
• Obtain guest feedback and share relevant comments with the team to improve guest satisfaction.
• Answer telephone calls, manage reservations, and respond to guest inquiries via email in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist other restaurant areas as required to ensure excellent guest service.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in hotels in similar position
• Must be at the minimum age to serve alcohol in line with any local legislative requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and welcoming personality.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, reservations, table management, and guest service.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different cultures and countries.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and safe handling procedures.
• Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in OPERA, POS, and other hotel systems.
