Bartender
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards.
- Be fully knowledgeable about all bar products and cocktail recipes.
- Provide high personalized standard of quality and efficient/friendly service.
- Prepare mise en place and perform side duties.
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all beverage items and prepare garnishes for each cocktail accordingly.
- Strictly adhere to opening and closing procedures established for the outlet and check beverage stock.
- Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
- Follow all steps of service.
- Ensure all stock is up to par levels.
- Provide prompt accurate report of all income received during shift.
- Sell beverages responsibly with the customers' best interest in mind.
- Maintain smooth flow of service between bar and server requests.
- Complete all side work as outlined in the manual.
- Report to work on time and ready to work scheduled shifts.
- Maintain a positive friendly attitude with coworkers and guests.
- Maintain a clean orderly appearance in the restaurant service area.
- Assist with/execute any tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Follow all proper sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
- 12 years experience in hospitality.
- Full compliance with HACCP standards and certification.
- Able to work flexible hours (nights and weekends).
- Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
- Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Exhibit strong beverage knowledge.
- Work experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
