Job summary

NH Collection Dubai The Palm is seeking a passionate Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. You will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages while delivering warm, friendly, and professional service to our guests.

As the Barista, you will maintain knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and menu items, ensure consistent quality, and support upselling opportunities in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista in hotels, cafés, or restaurants.
• Knowledge of espresso-based beverages.
• Basic latte art skills.
• Strong guest service and communication.
• Good command of English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages per recipes and hotel standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and menus.
• Take orders accurately and upsell beverages and menu items.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and service areas.
• Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control.
• Process orders and guest bills using the POS system.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and hotel procedures.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and other tasks.

As a Barista, you will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages while providing warm, friendly, and professional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and hotel standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests.
• Maintain good knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, beverage menus, and available products.
• Take guest orders accurately and provide recommendations based on preferences.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and temperature of all beverages served.
• Support upselling of beverages, pastries, and other menu items.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and service areas.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with requisitions and inventory control.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients and products.
• Process orders and guest bills accurately using the POS system.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and hotel procedures at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and other operational requirements as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista, preferably within a hotel, café, or restaurant environment.
• Good knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso-based beverages, and coffee equipment.
• Basic latte art skills are an advantage.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service.
• Friendly and positive personality with good communication skills.
• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
