Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista in luxury hotels or premium cafés.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso, and brewing methods.
• Excellent milk texturing and latte art.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to deliver high-end guest service in a fast-paced environment.

PHRS Hospitality Experts is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Barista to join the Food & Beverage team of a prestigious luxury hospitality property in Dubai, UAE.

This opportunity is ideal for a coffee professional with strong technical skills, a passion for guest service, and previous experience in luxury hotels, premium cafés, or high-end restaurant environments.

About the Role

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving premium coffee and specialty beverages while delivering a warm, personalized, and memorable guest experience.

You will combine strong coffee knowledge, technical preparation skills, and attention to presentation with the service standards expected in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of specialty coffees, teas, and other hot and cold beverages.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared consistently according to established recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to every guest.
• Maintain strong knowledge of coffee origins, blends, brewing methods, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Confidently recommend beverages based on guest preferences.
• Perform espresso machine calibration and ensure consistently high coffee quality throughout service.
• Demonstrate strong milk texturing, latte art, and beverage presentation skills.
• Maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment in excellent working condition.
• Complete opening, mise-en-place, service, and closing procedures for the assigned area.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure correct storage and rotation of products.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization throughout the work area.
• Support upselling initiatives and contribute to achieving outlet revenue objectives.
• Participate in daily pre-service briefings and ongoing product and service training.
• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Stay up to date with current coffee trends, techniques, and new beverage concepts.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista in a luxury hotel, premium café, specialty coffee shop, fine-dining restaurant, or similar high-end hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso preparation, brewing methods, and coffee equipment.
• Excellent milk texturing and latte art skills.
• Strong attention to quality, consistency, and beverage presentation.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Confident, engaging, and professional personality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Passion for coffee and awareness of current specialty coffee and beverage trends.
• Fluent English is required.
• Additional languages are an advantage.
• Previous luxury hospitality or Middle East experience is highly desirable.

Working Schedule

Alternating weekly roster: 5 working days with 2 days off, followed by 6 working days with 1 day off.

Minimum 48 working hours per week, excluding meal breaks. Daily shift schedules vary depending on the outlet and department.
