Job summary

Al Khayyat Investments (AKI) is seeking a Barista for the coffee and juice bar to manage daily shift operations and ensure customer satisfaction through quality drinks and friendly service.

You will set up and clean the prep area, maintain hygiene standards, participate in pre-service briefings, monitor stock, restock items, and report equipment issues to the Store Manager to keep the store running smoothly across shifts. A Diploma/Certificate as Barista and 2–3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate of Barista, High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• 2-3 years’ experience as Barista
• Strong customer service orientation and Barista skills
• Ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment

Responsibilities

• Ask for orders and prepare the customer’s desired drinks in different varieties of coffee such as latte, espresso, brewed and other coffee mixes or tea or juices and serves hot or cold to the customer.
• Set up and clean the coffee/juice preparation area and ensure that standard hygiene in food preparation is strictly observed and the subsequent handover and closing duties are adhered to for the readiness of the store operations every shift.
• Present at the pre-service briefing and be in constant communication with the customer to prepare the ordered food in standard and timely manner.
• Set up or restock coffee merchandise display, monitor the stock level and report to the Manager to always ensure the availability of the items.
• Reports faulty equipment, machinery, service-ware and any related issues/incidents to the Manager, to ensure smooth running of daily store operations
