KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards.
- Be fully knowledgeable about all bar products and cocktail recipes.
- Upsell with each customer to enhance sales.
- Provide high-quality, personalized, efficient, and friendly service.
- Prepare mise en place and perform side duties.
- Collect all requisitions for food and beverages.
- Adhere strictly to opening and closing procedures and check beverage stock.
- Understand and prepare garnishes for all beverage items and cocktails.
- Keep the bar counter and surrounding area clean and organized at all times.
- Monitor operating supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage.
- Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Establish rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
- Perform cashiering functions, ensuring adherence to cash handling procedures.
- Display premium liquors properly on shelves with correct quantities.
- Prepare garnishes for all cocktails before opening the bar.
- Coach and train new recruits through on-the-job training.
- Perform duties in the Banqueting Department or other areas as assigned.
- Assist in employee training to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Participate in inventory counts of operating equipment periodically.
- Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service consistently.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Read and adhere to the hotel’s Employee Handbook, policies, and safety regulations.
- Comply with local legislation as required.
- Respond flexibly to departmental changes and meet hotel needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including redeployment if necessary.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications: Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, with 1-2 years experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
