KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main role of the Barista is to maintain high standards of coffee service, train other associates to meet expectations, and be responsible for the quality of beverages. Prepare and present quality beverages according to standard recipes.
Main Responsibilities :
- Greet guests, present menu, make suggestions, take orders, and serve food & beverages according to standard procedures.
- Operate coffee-making equipment.
- Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Serve prepared food items such as muffins and Danish pastries.
- Collect and process payments from customers, including cash, credit, and debit cards.
- Comply with health, safety, and hygiene guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work area.
- Dismantle and clean machinery as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels.
- Stock inventory according to storage requirements.
- Pick up, verify, and store requisitions for juices, milk, soft drinks, and food items used in the bar, considering beverage costs and hotel occupancy.
- Ensure the bar is stocked and all opening and closing duties are completed.
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Assist with cleanup activities such as mopping floors, removing cans and bottles, cleaning rails and counters, and removing melting ice.
- Check guest satisfaction, attend to guest needs and complaints, and follow up appropriately with management.
- Present checks, perform cashiering, bid farewell to guests, and invite them to return.
- Attend all meetings and training sessions.
- Perform food runner duties as required.
- Dispense beverages.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Always comply with hotel and department policies and procedures.
- Implement work simplification and necessary changes.
- Ensure mise-en-place is completed before each shift.
- Provide attentive and courteous service to guests at all times.
- Behave politely, honestly, and friendly with staff, managers, and directors.
Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- At least 1 year of experience in the same position.
- Luxury hotel experience is required.
- Passion for excellent service.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ensure beverages are prepared to the highest standards, following recipes and quality guidelines.
- Monitor coffee bean freshness and maintain equipment for optimal brewing.
- Implement quality control measures to deliver premium coffee products consistently.
