Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is seeking a Barback to join the Tasca team. You will support bar operations by organizing beverages, preparing juices, and restocking stations while ensuring adherence to all policies and standards.

The role requires guest-focused service in a premium hotel setting and flexibility to work long hours in a dynamic outdoor environment. You should have at least 2 years in a 5-star luxury hotel, strong communication skills, and knowledge of bar operations.

Qualifications

• High School qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a 5-star luxury hotel environment.
• Knowledge in bar operation is a must.
• Ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service.
• Ability to work long hours with a strong focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with corporate and hotel policies and SOPs.
• Adhere to MO Code of Conduct and hotel rules.
• Organize and shelve beverages before opening the bar.
• Prepare juices, mixes and garnishes for the operation.
• Monitor stations and restock items as needed.
• Wipe glassware, utensils and equipment.
• Safeguard guest, colleague and hotel information; avoid disclosure without authority.
• Adhere to Safe, Sound and Sustainable Mandarin Oriental policies.
• Maintain grooming and professional appearance standards.
• Perform additional duties for management as required.
