FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a clean uniform and impeccable personal grooming according to company standards.
  • Be present at your designated work area, in uniform, ready to work at scheduled times.
  • Responsible for setup, bussing, and cleanup of all table service necessities, and proper storage of equipment after use.
  • Familiarize yourself with the location of each function room and setup types, including school style, theatre, conference, U-shape, banquet, T-shape, E-shape, buffet setups, and coffee trolley.
  • Set up, serve, breakdown, and clean all departmental functions, including meetings, meals, receptions, banquets, outdoor catering, and related activities.
  • Handle various table arrangements such as rounds, rectangles, ovals, and classroom style.
  • Ensure all linen, china, glass, and silverware are spotless and tables are uniformly set.
  • Attend menu training sessions to enhance food and beverage knowledge.
  • Introduce yourself to guests, project warmth and enthusiasm, and provide excellent service.
  • Wear a name tag and minimal jewelry as part of the uniform.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Assist guests whenever possible and attend scheduled meetings.
  • Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to set rooms accordingly.
  • Handle props, equipment, fixtures, and furniture with care, and store props properly after each event.
  • Maintain courteous relationships with coworkers, management, guests, and staff.
  • Report any issues or special guest requests promptly to supervisors.
  • Provide the best possible service at all times and practice sanitation standards diligently.
