Arada is seeking a friendly, energetic Commis to join its Bakehouse team in a fast-growing bakery brand. You will assist in preparing and producing cookies and other bakery items while upholding high quality, hygiene, and food-safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of bakery experience and can work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work flexible shifts and support the team during high-volume periods is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Commis or bakery role.
• Experience in bakery, pastry shop, café, or cookie production preferred.
• Knowledge of basic baking techniques and ingredients.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparation and production of cookies and bakery products.
• Follow recipes, methods, and portion sizes accurately.
• Measure and prepare ingredients per production needs.
• Mix, portion, shape, bake, cool, and finish cookies.
• Maintain consistent product quality in size, weight, texture and appearance.
• Prepare toppings, fillings, sauces as required.
• Operate bakery equipment safely (mixers, ovens, scales).
• Monitor temperatures and bake times as specified.
• Support senior chefs and bakers in daily production.
• Rotate stock and store ingredients correctly (FIFO).
• Check ingredient quality and freshness before use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstation and storage.
• Follow food safety, HACCP procedures and hygiene standards.
• Minimise wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
• Assist with packing, labeling and presentation of finished products.
• Report quality issues or shortages to Supervisor or Chef.
• Support team during high-volume periods and special orders.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
