Job description

To coach and assist allocated teams and team members in performing baggage related activities on shift. The Baggage Services Agent supports the Team Leader to ensure compliance with relevant Aviation Security regulations and that all team members provide the best services and optimum quality to customers, in line with dnata standards.

Job Outline

1. Deploy
2. Coordinate with allocated team and resources to ensure that the concerned processes and activities are completed within the required time for operations on shift.
3. Lead
4. Ensure staff safety and guide team members to work safely by providing support and direction, acting as a role model for safety behaviors, and leading with safety.
5. Organize and supervise the work of a small team during operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with procedures and standards. Coordinate with different operational areas as needed.
6. Ensure proper use and care of all equipment and devices allocated to the team.

8. Ensure all baggage is reconciled and loaded onto the correct flight to guarantee passenger, crew, and aircraft safety.
9. Participate in baggage loading as part of the core loading team for assigned flights on baggage belts and chutes.
10. Operate GSE within the baggage area.
11. Handle baggage respectfully and in a timely manner.
12. Monitor baggage systems and respond to BELT alerts indicating baggage discharge issues within set timelines.
13. Intervene and take immediate action in risk situations, model safe behaviors, and follow up on corrective measures.
14. Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental policies to maintain a safe work environment.
15. Implement work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures on the day of operations.
16. Maintain grooming standards per dnata requirements.
17. Escalate issues to the Team Leader or Duty Officers for corrective action.
18. Keep accurate records and documentation for the shift in the designated area.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School diploma (minimum 10 years of schooling required)
• UAE Driving license
• Valid license for operating equipment (ADP, TTR)

Experience / Knowledge:

• 2-4 years in business administration, aviation, ground handling, or customer service
• Basic understanding of flight operations terminology
• Knowledge of local/international aviation safety and security requirements
• Physical fitness for baggage handling and equipment maneuvering (ULDs, trollies, dollies)
• Proficient IT skills and computer literacy
• Strong safety awareness, planning, organizing, and communication skills in English (Level 4)
