Job Purpose

dnatais one of the world’s largest air services providers offering ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering services across five continents. We operate in 38 countries and 136 airports globally.

To coach and assist allocated teams and team members in performing baggage related activities on shift. The Baggage Services Agent supports the Team Leader to ensure compliance to relevant Aviation Security regulations and that all team members are providing the best services and optimum quality to the customers, in line with dnata standards.

In this role you will:

Execute
  • Reconcile and load baggage accurately to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft.

  • Participate in baggage loading as part of the team for designated flights at belts and chutes.

  • Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in the baggage area.

  • Handle baggage respectfully and within required timelines.

  • Monitor baggage systems and respond to BELT alerts indicating unprocessed baggage.

  • Take immediate action on safety risks and reinforce safe behaviors.

  • Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Implement and follow standard operating procedures during operations.

  • Ensure staff grooming complies with dnata standards.

  • Escalate operational issues to Team Leader or Duty Officers as needed.

  • Maintain records and documentation for the assigned area and shift.

Lead
  • Supervise a small team during operations to maintain efficiency and adherence to service standards.

  • Liaise with different operational areas as needed.

  • Ensure proper usage and care of equipment and devices by team members.

  • Ensure staff safety by guiding and role modeling safe behavior.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • High School
  • Valid UAE Driving license

Experience / knowledge

  • 2-4 years of experience in business administration / aviation / ground handling / customer service
  • Basic understanding of the flight operations terminology.
  • Basic understanding of Local / International, aviation safety and security requirements.
  • Able to meet the criteria of physical fitness for the role including continuous handling and loading of baggage and ability to manoeuvre equipment including ULD?s, trollies and dollies
