Job Purpose
Assists the Engineer in performing Avionics Maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements. Performs and records work according to standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge to understand the work, priorities, documentation, and cautions before starting.
• Prepares and performs scheduled aircraft maintenance as per task cards, ensuring documentation, parts, tools, and GSE are ready and used correctly.
• Conducts aircraft tests and inspections to identify and record defects or damages following approved procedures.
• Performs repairs, component replacements, and tests as instructed, adhering to approved data and procedures.
• Ensures proper tooling/equipment is used and returned in good condition.
• Reports task status regularly to the Engineer-in-Charge and highlights any issues.
• Maintains high housekeeping standards in all tasks.

Safety and Human Factors

• Manages safety by following mandatory precautions during maintenance tasks.
• Uses GSE and protective equipment to prevent injuries.
• Follows work interruption procedures and ensures adequate access and lighting.

Customer Service and Professionalism

• Provides helpful support to team and other departments for scheduled maintenance.
• Represents Air Arabia professionally to external personnel and customers.
• Maintains awareness of maintenance costs, minimizing waste and avoiding unnecessary damage or rework.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
• Proficient in English for technical communication.
• Solid understanding of Avionics maintenance theory and practice.
• Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus.
• At least 2 years in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Good knowledge and experience in Avionics Maintenance.
• Proficient with specialized Avionics test equipment, computers, and software.
