Responsibilities

• Deploy Azure services including Defender, Sentinel, and Key Vault.
• Implement RBAC, Conditional Access, and policy-as-code.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents within Sentinel.

Azure Security Architect & Engineer required by Whitehall Resources for a 1 Year extendable project assignment with our client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Overview
Responsible for operational and engineering activities to secure Azure environments, ensuring compliance with UAE and relevant international cybersecurity frameworks. This role blends strategic architecture with hands-on engineering and operational execution.

Responsibilities
- Engineering & Operational Tasks
- Deploy Azure services: Defender, Sentinel, Key Vault, Firewall
- Implement RBAC, Conditional Access, PIM, and policy-as-code
- Automate controls with Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell
- Monitor security events and respond to incidents within Sentinel
- Maintain documentation for regulatory review and audit
- Where relevant, design and configure security controls embedding principles of zero trust and aligned to relevant cyber regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with IT, enterprise architecture and compliance teams to ensure robust compliance posture
- Enforce Azure Policy and Management Groups

Skills and Certifications
- Mid-Senior Level experience (6+ Years)
- Azure security expertise (Defender, Sentinel, Azure AD)
- Infrastructure-as-code proficiency (Terraform, Bicep)
- Familiarity with UAE cybersecurity regulations and NIST/ISO standards
