Job summary

Quest Oracle Community is seeking a qualified accountant to lead internal controls and accounting for treasury activities in the UAE. You will oversee FX/derivatives accounting, hedge accounting under IFRS 9, and ensure accurate GL postings across multiple entities.

The role involves driving process improvements, supporting regulatory and audit activities, and collaborating with regional finance teams on treasury initiatives and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with a professional credential (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in financial control or product control within banking.
• Knowledge of treasury products (FX, derivatives) and hedge accounting.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS 9.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g. Oracle GL) is beneficial.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of the internal controls framework across the region.
• Oversee accounting for treasury products including FX and derivatives.
• Manage hedge accounting processes and IFRS 9 implementation.
• Ensure accuracy of GL entries and financial reporting processes.
• Support regulatory and tax reporting across multiple entities.
• Assist with audit processes and financial statement preparation.
• Participate in new product reviews and assess accounting implications.
• Drive automation, process improvement, and system enhancements.
