Qualifications

• Extensive experience in property or fire insurance underwriting within the UAE insurance market.
• Strong understanding of complex commercial and industrial risk assessment.
• Experience managing broker driven insurance markets and strategic client relationships.
• Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage underwriting teams.
• Deep knowledge of insurance portfolio management, pricing, and risk exposure analysis.
• Familiarity with reinsurance structures and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting activities for complex commercial and industrial property insurance risks.
• Ensure underwriting decisions align with company guidelines, risk appetite, and market strategy.
• Oversee evaluation of high value commercial, industrial, and property portfolios.
• Maintain quality and consistency of underwriting decisions across the underwriting team.
• Monitor portfolio performance including loss ratios, exposure accumulation, and pricing adequacy.
• Drive revenue targets while maintaining disciplined risk selection and sustainable portfolio growth.
• Manage relationships with key brokers including multinational and regional brokerage firms.
• Act as senior contact for complex insurance accounts requiring strategic engagement.
• Support retention and expansion of key accounts through technical expertise and market knowledge.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and performance management to underwriting teams.
• Develop underwriting strategies aligned with evolving market trends and risk landscapes.
• Improve underwriting processes, operational efficiency, and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and reinsurance obligations.
• Support senior management in evaluating complex or exceptional risk proposals.
