About the role
The AVP Policy Analyst - Retail Credit Risk will lead data-driven credit policy analytics for retail lending, with a focus on credit cards and personal loans. The role demands hands on experience and expertise in SAS/Python to shape strategies, optimize risk-reward, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will report to the Head of Retail Risk and Policy. In this role, you ll work closely with teams across various functions to drive alignment and results.
What You ll Be Doing :
• Data driven analysis to refine advanced credit risk policies and strategies to support profitable growth in retail lending.
• Conduct deep-dive analytics to identify segmentation opportunities, optimize risk-reward trade-offs, and enhance policy effectiveness.
• Design and implement complex decision logic using SAS or Python to support policy execution and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements, supporting audits and submissions with robust documentation.
• Monitor portfolio dynamics and emerging risk trends to recommend proactive policy adjustments.
• Collaborate with business units to align risk strategies with growth objectives while maintaining portfolio quality.
• Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI to visualize key risk indicators and portfolio performance.
• Manage analytical resources efficiently to deliver high-impact insights aligned with business priorities.
What We re Looking For :
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in credit risk analytics, with at least 3 5 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor role.
• Proven track record in policy analytics and retail lending, especially credit cards.
• Industry Exposure: Extensive experience in financial services, particularly in retail banking and consumer lending.
