Job summary

General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) seeks an AVP, Financial Crime Prevention to lead the design and operation of the financial crime prevention framework for the UAE gaming sector. This role oversees risk assessments, regulatory reviews, and the evaluation of AML/CFT controls across licensees, providing expert guidance to enforcement and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience in financial crime prevention and AML/CFT supervision.
Strong knowledge of UAE AML/CFT law and FATF standards.
Proven analytical and regulatory judgment capabilities.
CAMS/CFCS or equivalent certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and enhancement of the financial crime prevention framework and supervisory strategy.
Draft, review, and maintain AML/CFT policies, guidance, and supervisory documents.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess implications for the supervisory framework.
Perform sectoral, thematic, and entity-level risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
Assess operators’ AML/CFT controls including CDD/EDD, monitoring, and SAR/STR processes.
Prepare analytical reports and supervisory findings for management and committees.
Maintain documentation and contribute to national reporting and committee inputs.
Provide guidance to licensed operators on AML/CFT obligations and supervisory expectations.
Support staff training and knowledge sharing; stay updated on financial crime trends.
