Job summary

flydubai is seeking an experienced in-house legal professional to manage negotiations on aircraft financing and related arrangements, and to advise on a range of commercial contracts within the finance and commercial portfolio.

The role focuses on drafting and negotiating high-value documents, mitigating risk, and collaborating with senior management to set priorities, while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law or legal studies.
• Admitted to practice (preferably in a common law jurisdiction).
• 4–6 years of experience in asset financing, banking, or commercial contracts.
• Experience in aviation or aviation finance preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong drafting skills.
• In-house legal experience beneficial but not required.
• Experience in GCC beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and document medium to high value financing and related documents.
• Negotiate maintenance, fuel and commodity agreements.
• Supports the broader commercial team in contract negotiations.
• Advise on terms, liabilities and risks of proposed transactions.
• Identifies, assesses, and proposes company position on legal issues and risks.
• Prioritize matters and collaborate with team to meet commercial needs.
• Build relationships with external counsel and internal clients.
• Develop and implement general and specialist legal strategy with Senior Management.
• Identify organizational needs and initiate projects to address them.
• Conduct legal training seminars for internal clients.
