Job summary

TXM Solutions seeks an AV & Technology Manager to lead audiovisual, multimedia and interactive technology across large-scale cultural, exhibition and themed entertainment projects.

You will steer technical strategy, drive innovation in immersive experiences and oversee integration of AV into creative and architectural design, reporting to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Systems.
• 20+ years delivering AV and immersive technology for museums, exhibitions and large-scale events.
• Proven leadership on multimillion-dollar international projects.
• Strong expertise in AV system design, projection, lighting, sound, control systems and acoustics.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM, CAD, Revit, SketchUp and Dante.
• Solid knowledge of global AV supply chains and procurement strategies.
• AVIXA CTS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the AV and immersive technology strategy in line with growth and trends.
• Act as senior technical authority, setting design standards and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with creative directors, architects and designers to embed tech into storytelling.
• Provide technical direction at pre-contract stage, bids and feasibility studies.
• Lead the full lifecycle of AV and immersive projects from concept to handover.
• Oversee BIM integration and ensure CAD/Revit/SketchUp/Dante compliance.
• Implement testing, quality control and commissioning protocols.
• Coordinate with content, scenography, fit-out, lighting, IT teams on interfaces.
• Track immersive tech trends and run R&D pilots for wider use.
• Develop procurement strategies for AV hardware and services.

Job description

Our client, an established name in the museum, exhibition and themed entertainment sector, is looking for an AV & Technology Manager to join their core team.

You will be the technical lead for all audiovisual, multimedia and interactive technology across large scale cultural, exhibition and themed entertainment projects. The role covers technical strategy, innovation in immersive experiences, and the integration of AV technology into creative and architectural designs.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage a global vendor network, and contribute to business development, design and delivery.

Key responsibilities

Strategic and technical leadership

• Define the AV and immersive technology strategy in line with business growth and market trends
• Act as the senior technical authority, setting design standards, performance specifications and quality benchmarks
• Work with creative directors, architects and exhibition designers to build technology into storytelling and visitor experiences
• Provide technical direction at pre contract stage, including bids, RFP responses and feasibility studies
• Lead the full lifecycle of AV and immersive projects, from concept design and engineering through procurement, integration, commissioning and handover
• Oversee BIM integration and ensure technical documentation meets project standards (CAD, Revit, SketchUp, Dante)
• Implement testing, quality control and commissioning protocols to ensure operational readiness
• Coordinate with content, scenography, fit out, lighting, mechanical and IT teams to manage complex technical interfaces

Innovation and emerging technology

• Track emerging immersive technologies including VR, AR, MR, AI driven interactives, spatial audio and advanced projection mapping
• Lead R&D pilots to test and adapt new technologies for wider use
• Develop technology roadmaps to keep the business at the forefront of immersive media

Procurement and supply chain

• Develop and deliver international procurement strategies for AV and immersive hardware and services
• Negotiate supply contracts, warranties and service agreements with leading manufacturers and system integrators
• Oversee global logistics, including freight, customs clearance, import and export compliance, and installation scheduling

Client and stakeholder engagement

• Act as a trusted senior adviser to clients, aligning technical guidance with creative ambitions and operational needs
• Represent the business in senior commercial negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers
• Support business development through pitch presentations and client workshops

Team leadership

• Build and mentor a high performing AV engineering and delivery team with clear KPIs and growth pathways
• Encourage a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and innovation
• Lead knowledge sharing to build internal capability in emerging technologies

Skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Systems, or a related discipline
• 20+ years of experience delivering AV and immersive technology for museums, exhibitions, themed entertainment and large scale events
• Proven track record of technical leadership on multimillion dollar international projects
• Strong expertise in AV system design, projection, lighting, sound, control systems, acoustic planning and networking (Cisco CCNA)
• Advanced proficiency in BIM, CAD, Revit, SketchUp and Dante
• Strong knowledge of global AV supply chains, vendor ecosystems and procurement strategies
• AVIXA CTS certification preferred
