Job Description

The Position

The Audio and Visual Technician operates, maintains, and repairs all audio, visual, and lighting equipment throughout the hotel. He will be responsible for completing other services or duties as requested by the AV Supervisor / Shift Supervisor.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all work follows safe work practices and procedures.
• Respond immediately to all work requests concerning Health and Safety.
• Respond to guest requests promptly, professionally, and courteously.
• Operate, maintain, and repair all audio, visual, lighting, and related equipment.
• Ensure optimal performance of all AV and lighting equipment through effective preventive maintenance.
• Evaluate and respond appropriately to equipment usage and energy efficiency.
• Complete all work orders diligently, maintaining a daily logbook of problems, solutions, and activities.
• Maintain shop drawings, files, equipment catalog, and tagging directories.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the AV Supervisor / Shift Supervisor.
• Maintain health and safety documentation and records for the area.
• Report and document potential safety hazards.
• Participate in the emergency response team as directed.

Qualifications

Personal Attributes

• Good basic English skills.
• Experience and knowledge of modern hotel room facilities, equipment, and setups.

Qualifications

• Secondary School + Technical College or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of electrical/HVAC installation or maintenance experience, preferably in industrial-commercial projects, hotels, or hospitals.
