Job summary

AVI‑SPL is seeking an Installation Technician 1 to perform on-site installation tasks across contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, rack systems, and metal fabrication per project directives. You will coordinate with the Lead Technician to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements.

Day-to-day duties include interpreting schematics and blueprints, using hand and power tools to assemble and connect AV components, and assisting with basic

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
• Customer service oriented with client focus.
• Basic understanding of AV systems: projectors, screens, speakers, mics, video conferencing.
• Experience with low-voltage cabling: HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve AV issues.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and AV integration.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary and in support of Lead Technician.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors and other installation tasks.
• Assist Lead Tech with management and security of equipment and tools on site.
• Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and rack wiring.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Support team and adapt to evolving priorities and objectives.
