Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Autonomy, Perception or Robotics.
• Marine domain/USV or autonomous vessels experience required.
• Strong programming in Python and C++, ROS2, Linux.
• Experience with sensor fusion, COLREGs, SLAM, and path planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomy and perception algorithms for USV.
• Work on obstacle detection, tracking, and classification in marine environments.
• Implement sensor fusion across camera, LiDAR, marine radar, GPS, IMU, sonar.
• Develop COLREGs-compliant path planning and collision avoidance.
• Integrate and test perception stack on real USV platforms.
• Conduct field testing, data collection, and performance validation at sea.
• Collaborate with Navigation, Control and Hardware teams.

About The Role

We are hiring an experienced Autonomy & Perception Engineer for a cutting-edge Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) project based in Abu Dhabi. Candidate must have strong marine domain experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement autonomy and perception algorithms for USV
• Work on Obstacle detection, Object tracking and Classification in marine environment
• Implement Sensor Fusion (Camera, LiDAR, Marine Radar, GPS, IMU, Sonar)
• Develop COLREGs-compliant path planning and collision avoidance algorithms
