Job summary

Moove is seeking a Vehicle Technician to inspect, test, and validate autonomous vehicle sensor hardware and mechanical assemblies. You will ensure Lidar, Radar, cameras, and compute units meet safety standards before deployment, and support root-cause analysis with engineering.

You will work with the AV Safety Manager and engineering staff to identify defects, validate sensor performance, and maintain detailed QA records for fleet deployments in the UAE, including Dubai.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in hardware testing, electronics QA, light mechanical maintenance, or AV/automotive technical operations.
• Hands-on experience with optical, electrical, or sensor hardware preferred; Lidar or Radar familiarity is a strong advantage.
• Practical experience with mechanical assembly, torque tools, and basic vehicle maintenance from automotive or industrial background.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured inspections of AV self-driving system hardware including Lidar, Radar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and compute units.
• Verify installation, alignment, physical condition, and connectivity of all sensor hardware following checklists.
• Perform functional hardware checks and sensor readiness validations as part of pre-deployment clearance.
• Conduct post-repair inspections to confirm defects are resolved before redeployment.
• Maintain a structured mechanical inspection log and QA records in fleet maintenance system.
