Job summary

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) in the UAE seeks an automotive service technician responsible for routine vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, PDI checks, and basic repairs. You will use VDS and other scanning tools and support repair teams to ensure MG guidelines and IEM SOPs are met.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a Higher Diploma in Mechanics, and Brand Advanced Technician Qualification Certification.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in automotive service technician positions.
Practical experience in routine vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, and basic mechanical repairs.
Familiarity with vehicle inspections and diagnostic scanning tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out minor periodic servicing and preventive maintenance in accordance with MG guidelines and IEM standard operating procedures.
Repair or replace worn and faulty vehicle components according to the assigned job order.
Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet the required quality and operational standards before delivery.
Use vehicle scanning tools, including VDS, to read and clear fault codes where applicable.
Assist Repair Technicians and Diagnostic Technicians with repair and troubleshooting activities as required.
Identify and report vehicle faults or additional repair requirements to the Supervisor.
