Job summary

Black Pearl Consult is hiring an Automotive Harness Engineer – Electrical in the UAE to design and develop automotive wiring harnesses that meet vehicle requirements. You will translate electrical specifications into practical harness layouts, select wires, connectors and protection, and produce engineering documentation for prototype validation.

You will collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure harness designs comply with standards and are ready for implementation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in automotive wiring harness design and vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical schematics, harness drawings, connectors and fuse selection.
• Familiarity with BOMs, technical documentation and engineering change processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive electrical wiring harnesses according to program and vehicle requirements.
• Define electrical connections and interface points using diagrams and technical data.
• Develop and maintain harness drawings and related documentation.
• Perform electrical calculations: current, wire gauge, circuit protection.
• Support selection of wires, connectors, terminals, fuses and components.
• Prepare BOMs, specifications and change documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with automotive standards and customer requirements.
• Review and validate prototype harnesses against designs.
• Troubleshoot harness-related issues and coordinate with teams and suppliers.
• Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement of harness designs.

Black Pearl Consult is hiring an experienced Automotive Harness Engineer – Electrical to support automotive engineering and vehicle electrical development activities in the UAE.

This opportunity is suited to an engineer with hands-on experience in automotive wiring harness design, vehicle electrical systems, electrical schematics, harness drawings, electrical connections, wire sizing, fuse selection, BOMs and technical documentation.

The successful candidate will work across the harness design and development lifecycle, from electrical definition and design through prototype validation, technical documentation, troubleshooting and coordination with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.

About the Role

As an Automotive Harness Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing reliable electrical wiring harnesses for automotive systems.

You will translate vehicle electrical requirements and technical information into practical harness designs, define electrical connections and interfaces, select appropriate wires and circuit protection, prepare engineering documentation, and support prototype validation and implementation.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who understands how automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses and vehicle components work together.

Key Responsibilities
