Job summary

AirQ Limited in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Wiring Engineer to design, route, and document wire harness systems using SolidWorks Electrical. The role spans concept to manufacturing release, ensuring robust electrical interconnections for UAV and aerospace platforms with emphasis on accuracy and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in harness design, strong schematics skills, and proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical, CATIA, and other CAD tools.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on wiring harness design experience.
Experience in aerospace/UAV/high-reliability environments preferred.
Proven experience handling full-cycle harness development from concept to production release.
Strong experience in electrical schematics and documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop wiring harnesses using SolidWorks Electrical and related CAD tools.
Create complete system wiring schematics including connectors, pinouts, shielding, and interconnections.
Define wire specifications based on current load, voltage drop, and requirements.
Optimize harness routing considering mechanical constraints and vibration zones.
Develop and maintain component libraries, wire lists, BOMs, and manufacturing docs.
Prepare manufacturing drawings and release docs for production teams.
Ensure compliance with aerospace/UAV standards and DFM principles.
Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams for integration.
Work with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and quality of harness assemblies.
Design solutions for harsh environments (temperature, vibration, moisture).
