Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Electrician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Automotive Electrician will diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults in a variety of vehicles, including conventional and, where applicable, electric and hybrid models.

Daily tasks include performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting wiring and circuit issues, repairing and replacing electrical components, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The role also involves collaborating with mechanics and service advisors, documenting work performed in line with workshop procedures, and communicating clearly about findings and repair options.

The Automotive Electrician is expected to maintain a clean work area, follow all safety guidelines, and contribute to GearVolt’s commitment to transparent, trustworthy service.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Electrical Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for automotive systems.
• Proficiency in Fault Finding and Electrical Repairs, including diagnosis and resolution of complex electrical issues.
• Solid understanding of Electricity principles as applied to vehicle wiring, circuits, and electronic components.
• Experience using automotive diagnostic tools, multimeters, and relevant software for electrical testing.
• Previous work experience as an Automotive Electrician or in a similar automotive electrical role.
• Relevant technical certificate or diploma in automotive electrical systems or automotive technology is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Familiarity with EV and hybrid vehicle electrical systems is an advantage.
