Job summary

Siemens Dubai seeks an Automation Service Engineer to design, install, test, and commission automation control systems in diverse industrial environments. The role emphasizes PCS 7/Simatic S7, WinCC, and cybersecurity for industrial networks.

You will collaborate with IT and operations, travel as needed, and contribute to securing control systems while delivering robust engineering solutions. A UAE driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Siemens DCS and SCADA design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience in PCS 7 Safety Systems, STEP 7, WinCC, TIA, and Safety Systems.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent client‑facing and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a combined client/contractor team.
• Fair knowledge of industrial control system cybersecurity standards and best practices (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82).
• Proficiency in network architecture design, industrial communication protocols, and network security technologies.
• Familiarity with industrial control system vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Willingness to travel and work onshore and offshore as required.
• UAE valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, test, and commission PCS 7 control systems and SIMATIC S7 Safety Systems for a variety of industrial control system applications.
• Develop PCS 7, TIA, WinCC, STEP 7, and PLC programs based on schematics and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot control loops, motor wiring, and industrial instrumentation.
• Industrial instrumentation selection, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Design industrial network architectures with a focus on cybersecurity best practices
• Configure, commission, and troubleshoot industrial network devices and communication protocols
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to industrial control system cybersecurity
• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and implement security measures to protect control systems
• Develop and document cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans
• Train operations and maintenance personnel on cybersecurity awareness and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management, to ensure holistic cybersecurity approach
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including IO lists, FDS/DDS, system architectures, wiring diagrams, control schematics, SCADA graphics, ESD C&E matrix, FAT/SAT procedures, and O&M manuals

Your success is grounded in
