Our Potential Opportunity
INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Project & Service Engineer (I&C) to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role is pivotal in advancing Process Automation Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will drive the execution of PLC/DCS automation projects, ensuring technical excellence and seamless project delivery.
What You’ll Lead And Deliver
- Execute and supervise site activities including installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments as per project requirements
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for PLC, SCADA, DCS, SIS, and Fire & Gas systems
- Provide on‑site and remote technical support to customers and attend emergency/on‑call breakdowns
- Support OSI PI system integration and related activities
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams during site execution
- Prepare service reports, FAT/SAT reports, commissioning records, timesheets, and other technical documentation
- Perform system staging, internal testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Participate in control system engineering including PLC/SCADA programming, testing, and commissioning
- Design and implement specialised control systems including DCS, SIS, and Fire & Gas Systems
- Review and interpret customer specifications, Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), P&IDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, control narratives, and control philosophies
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, particularly ADNOC requirements
- Lead project execution activities from Kick‑Off Meeting through final handover
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitor project schedules, site progress, technical deliverables, and resource utilisation
- Participate in technical clarification meetings with customers and vendors
- Identify project risks and support resolution of technical issues
- Support proposal and sales teams during technical discussions when required
- Conduct technical training for customers and internal teams
- Mentor and support junior Control & Instrumentation engineers
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with HSE policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 5‑8 years of proven experience in servicing and maintaining industrial automation systems
- Experience with DCS platforms including Honeywell Experion and Honeywell SMSC Safety Manager for safety lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and alarm/safety data governance
- Experience with SCADA/HMI systems such as AVEVA/Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, FactoryTalk View, and Citect
- Exposure to Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Fire & Gas Systems (FGS)
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Industrial Automation projects
- Familiarity with ADNOC project standards is highly preferred
- Experience with Wellhead facilities, control panels, skids, and solar systems is an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Good communication and customer‑facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Valid UAE driving licence preferred
