Charterhouse is working in partnership with a leading Manufacturing company, who is looking to hire an Automation Engineer Technician for their Dubai office.

About the role

The Automation Engineer Technician will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of industrial automation systems. The role's primary responsibility will be to implement cutting-edge solutions for enhancing efficiency within production processes through the development, installation, assembly, and maintenance of machinery and automated systems. This will require closely collaborating with relevant stakeholders to understand client requirements, implement projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The Automation Engineer Technician will also be responsible for optimizing system performance by maintaining and upgrading existing automation systems, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement by training the production staff on new systems and technologies.

About you

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience within a similar role. Our client is looking for someone with strong knowledge of programming (Twincat Beckhoff, Siemens Step 7, Siemens TIA Portal) and automation hardware components (PLCs and industrial network communication protocols and drives).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving operational excellence through the successful deployment and support of advanced automation solutions, along with knowledge of industry best practices. Willingness to travel when required is essential for this role.
