Automation Engineer for Commercial Refrigeration Systems

Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Automation with hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration systems, electrical design, PLC programming, and automation.

The engineer will design and develop electrical control systems, prepare electrical drawings, program PLC/HMI systems, troubleshoot electrical and automation issues, and support testing and commissioning of refrigeration equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, automation and control systems.
• Hands-on experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration electrical controls and automation systems.
• Experience in PLC programming, HMI programming and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and automation control systems for commercial refrigeration and related equipment.
• Create, modify and optimise electrical design drawing packages using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Design electrical control panels, wiring diagrams, schematics, cable routing and related documentation.
• Develop, write and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs for equipment and control systems.
• Work with Schneider Electric PLC/control systems; exposure to Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
