Job summary

Mashreq is seeking an Automation DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain infrastructure and tools for software development and deployment. You will automate pipelines, collaborate with development and operations teams, and ensure scalable and reliable applications across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will design secure release automation in CI/CD pipelines, contribute hands-on coding, fix infrastructure issues, and help the team streamline deployment.

Job description

As an Automation DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for the development and deployment of software solutions. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes, streamline the build and release pipelines, and ensure the scalability and reliability of applications.

Designing a secure application-release automation process to make security an integral part of the CI/CD pipelines both on-perm & cloud platforms.

• Hands-on Experience in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployment and implementing the DevSecOps processes.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Help debug and fix any problems with the infrastructure and applications
• Collaborates with the rest of DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solution to the organization
• Identifies bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes
• Is hands on in coding to help the team to develop his solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand Identifies and removes technical impediments
• Constantly looks for better ways of solving technical problems and designs the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
• Provides the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
• Leads knowledge growth effort of platform configuration management and troubleshooting

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Overall, around 6+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure, Applications
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes and continuous integration and related tools such as Azure DevOps, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar etc. Currently practicing DevOps methodology.
• Excellent coding and scripting skills and experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS)
• Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions
• Expertise of cloud infrastructure (Azure) and cluster management tools like AKS
• Experience in Agile Development, and DevOps on a cross-functional agile team
• Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
• Experience in setting up Systems, Network, Storage, CDN infrastructure on Azure
• Understanding of Splunk or similar application/infrastructure logging tools for troubleshooting.
• Understanding of industry standard monitoring platforms and ability to troubleshoot production issues through the observability platforms.
