Job summary

Client of AIQU in Dubai is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of cloud and on-prem infrastructure. You will build scalable CI/CD pipelines, container platforms and automation frameworks to support a fast-paced delivery cycle.

You will collaborate with software engineers, QA and security teams, mentor junior engineers and help drive best practices, reliability and security across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Expert in Bash scripting and Python.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying on AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of on-premise server and network management.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and IaC concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Dubai to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to build scalable, reliable and secure CI CD pipelines, container platforms and automation frameworks that support our fast-paced delivery cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple application stacks.
• Develop and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration in AWS, Azure and on-premise data centers.
• Write and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to streamline operational tasks.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and security issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA and security teams to drive DevOps best practices.
• Conduct system architecture reviews and recommend improvements to achieve high availability and disaster recovery.

Experience and Qualifications

• 5 - 8 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Expertise in Bash scripting and Python programming.
• Proven experience with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of on-premise server and network management.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with infrastructure as code principles and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC/configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Background in performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in agile teams.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
