Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors to vehicle specifications using paint mixing equipment.
• Apply paint and finishes to vehicle surfaces using brushes or spray guns to apply primers, paint, enamel, lacquer or other coatings.
• Ensure even paint coverage and smooth finishes with attention to detail.
• Dry or bake newly painted surfaces; repair and touch up paint imperfections, scratches and dents as needed.
• Refinish galvanized outer panels and anodized aluminum moldings.
• Apply decals, transfers, stencils and other identifications to finished paint work.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and recommendations for paint application and drying times.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
• Inspect finished paint jobs to ensure quality and adherence to expectations.
• Apply or restore anti-corrosion treatments.
