Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to prepare vehicle surfaces, apply primer and paint, and finish with precision. The role requires hands-on painting experience and adherence to booth safety and quality standards.

The candidate will operate spray painting equipment, perform surface prep, masking, and final touches in the designated painting booths, ensuring timely completion of jobs and coordination with the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on vehicle painting experience.
• Ability to prepare surfaces, apply primer and paint, and finish with proper techniques.

Responsibilities

• Remove old paint using liquid remover and scraper.
• Apply primer, paint, lacquer, epoxy, or resin using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Smooth surfaces with sandpaper/steel wool; roughen surfaces for adhesion.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces in the preparation booth and mask areas to protect non-painted parts.
• Apply paint in designated booths and complete finishing work after painting.
• Assist Supervisor/Senior Service Manager with assigned tasks.

Job description

• To remove old paints using a liquid paint remover, scraper.

• To coat surfaces with primer, paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other materials using brushes, rollers, spray fans and other devices.

• To smoothens surface with sandpaper and steel wool.

• To roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface and provides corrosion control methods to customer specifications.

• To fill cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface.

• To masks and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted.

• To mix the pain as per the color codes.

• To ensure that the necessary preparation work is being carried out in preparation booth.

• To apply the mixed paint to the vehicle using the spray painting machines in the designated painting booths.

• To complete the finishing work after the vehicle is released from painting booth.

• Any other jobs assigned by the Supervisor / Senior Service Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on vehicle painting experience.
