Job Summary:

The Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The Mechanic ensures the reliability, safety, and performance of vehicles serviced within the workshop.

Area of Responsibility & Activities:

• Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and brake systems. Conduct routine services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical faults. Assess vehicle issues accurately and recommend solutions or part replacements.
• Job Execution: Follow job card instructions and complete work within designated timeframes. Conduct test drives and final checks to ensure issues are resolved before handover.
• Tools & Equipment Handling: Use workshop tools, diagnostic scanners, and lifting equipment safely. Maintain and store tools properly.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Adhere to quality control standards and manufacturer guidelines. Observe health and safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Documentation & Reporting: Record repairs, parts used, and services completed. Report additional work or issues to the supervisor.
• Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and parts personnel. Provide technical feedback as needed.

To be successful as an Auto Mechanic, you should have in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to quality repairs. A proactive attitude, technical precision, and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 4–6 years of experience as an automotive mechanic (dealership experience preferred)
• Manufacturer training or certification in automotive repair
• Solid understanding of vehicle mechanical systems and repair procedures
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools and interpreting repair software
• Proficient in both manual and automatic transmissions
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair guides
• Valid UAE driving license
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to meet repair standards
• Commitment to safety protocols and organizational procedures
• Good teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
