Overview of the role

The role involves leading, developing, and inspiring the Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) Team and other store functions to increase interest in home furnishing and create demand for home solutions in the local market.

The candidate will ensure the operation aligns with the store’s action plan to maintain vitality and inspiration, providing an engaging shopping experience and maximizing sales. The role also involves active participation in the Store Management team for the IKEA Small Store.

What you will do
  • Range presentation / Design / Commercial: Lead and motivate the Com&In team to utilize knowledge of IKEA home furnishing and lifestyles to grow the business; facilitate workshops to generate creative directions.
  • Create and implement a commercial calendar in collaboration with store management to ensure vitality and seasonality.
  • Oversee the presentation solutions, store layout, and communication strategies to build the IKEA brand and differentiate from competitors.
  • Ensure the team understands store layout, range presentation, and communication to contribute effectively to the work method.
  • Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining a passionate, high-performing Com&In team, and challenge the team to exploit commercial opportunities.
  • Supervise daily and weekly operations within the Com&In department.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Sales Manager to adapt range presentation according to sales data and stock situations to meet sales targets.
  • Review and follow up on planning and implementation of changes with relevant departments.
  • Assist in managing the store budget for the department.
  • Coordinate with marketing activities to highlight new products and related articles attractively.
  • Align the Com&In action plan with business calendars, rebuilds, and other store activities.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration across functions to prevent overlaps and optimize processes.
  • Work closely with Sales, Logistics, and CRM teams.
People and Development
  • Ensure all Co&In co-workers are trained in safety and security procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to support store performance and succession planning.
  • Maintain good relations between Com&In and other departments.
