Job summary

Anderson & Booz in Dubai is seeking a Learning Support Assistant / Special Educator to support a Grade 8 student with Autism in a mainstream British school setting. The role involves one-on-one teaching, implementing BCBA plans, and collaborating with teachers.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience with autism, with Fluency in English and knowledge of the British Curriculum. Working hours follow a Monday–Friday schedule, with school and home-based activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children with Autism in an educational setting.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of the National British Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a child with Autism in school.
• Run one-on-one programs in school and home per the BCBA plan.
• Collaborate to implement IEPs and behavioral strategies.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment for the learner.
• Adapt learning materials to suit the child’s needs.
• Monitor progress and report findings to teachers and professionals.
• Encourage independence and positive social interactions.
• Communicate progress to parents/guardians.
