Guildhall is currently seeking a certified and ADNOC-approved Authorized Gas Tester (AGT Tester) to join a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. The Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) is responsible for conducting atmospheric tests in confined spaces, hot work areas, and other hazardous environments in accordance with company and industry safety standards. The AGT plays a key role in supporting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with permit-to-work (PTW) systems. Key Responsibilities • Conduct gas testing for oxygen levels, flammable gases, and toxic substances prior to work in confined spaces or during hot work • Ensure accurate readings using calibrated gas detection equipment • Issue gas test certificates and verify safe atmospheric conditions • Monitor gas levels continuously or at specified intervals during ongoing work • Support the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system by validating gas test results • Report unsafe conditions or gas level deviations immediately to the HSE or site supervisor • Maintain and calibrate gas testing instruments as per manufacturer and site standards • Ensure compliance with ADNOC, OSHA, and other relevant safety regulations • Provide guidance to workers regarding safe practices in hazardous environments • Participate in toolbox talks and site safety meetings where gas testing is involved
• ADNOC-approved AGT certification (mandatory) • Valid AGT certification (must be up to date) • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry • Thorough knowledge of gas detection instruments and confined space safety• Familiar with HSE procedures, hot work permits, and confined space entry protocols
