Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience as an Authorities Liaison Engineer in Construction Industry.
  • UAE SOE Membership and ADM Municipality Accreditation required.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Authorities Engineer to join our team

Position Overview

To work with ALEC Authorities team to to ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements related to Projects’ construction and delivery and Operations, by providing guidance, support, and timely processing of permit applications and local authorities inspections.

Core Job Functions

  1. Confirm availability of Authorities’ Permits, NOCs, and approved drawings on site.
  2. Verify no clashes between approved Authorities drawings and IFC drawings/construction shop drawings.
  3. Prepare all documents and test results required for the municipality structural inspection, through coordination with Site Engineers and Site QAQC Department
  4. Ensure ALEC structural inspections are completed prior to the municipality inspections.
  5. Submit the inspection request for the Municipality Engineer.
  6. Carry out the structural inspection with the Municipality Engineer.
  7. Carry out inspections with local authority engineers including but not limited to, RAK Municipality, Civil Defence, ETIHAD, ETISALAT etc.
  8. Prepare the daily task report and weekly inspections report.
  9. Update the site team with any new Authorities regulations or instructions in coordination with ALEC Authorities Manager.
  10. Secure all required construction NOCs and permits.
  11. Prepare all the Authorities documents required for the project closing out and obtaining Authorities Building Completion Certificate (BCC).
  12. Attend all the required site meetings as the site progresses. safety, design coordination etc, as assigned by the Site Authorities Manager
  13. Attend the Authorities Department internal meetings and prepare all the periodical reports.
  14. Attend all the required exams by local authorities regarding ALEC licenses as coordinated by the Authorities Manager.
  15. Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Site Authorities Manager/Authorities Department Manager.
  16. Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders to secure approvals and delivery on time.
  17. Comply with ALEC culture, strategy, values, code of conduct and corporate polices.

Requirements:

  1. BSc in Civil Engineering
  2. Proven 2-5 years’ experience as an Authorities Liaison Engineer in Construction Industry in AD.
  3. UAE SOE Membership
  4. Proven Experience with AD Authorities Portals: IPS, ITC portal, ADDC portal, MEPS-TAMM etc.
  5. Proven experience with AD Local Authorities, including but not limited to ADM Municipality, Civil Defense, ITC, DU, ADNOC, Tabreed, ADDC, ETISALAT etc.
  6. ADM Municipality Accreditation.
  7. Equivalency for your certificate in UAE.

Skills & Abilities:

  1. Proficient knowledge of verbal and written Arabic and English.
  2. Good communications skills.
  3. Good command of computer skills.
