Plan, coordinate and audit all aspects related to HSE compliance including implementation of ADNOC’s Standards and adequacy of implementation of HSEMS expectations within ADNOC Group of Companies, affiliates, BLDs and its Contractors. Provide assistance in the development, implementation and monitoring of ADNOC Group Annual and 5-Yearly HSE Audit Plan.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
Lead and develop risk-based 5 yearly HSE Audit plans based on the size and nature of the organization, as well as on the functionality, complexity, the type of risks and opportunities, the level of maturity of the management system(s) and their past HSE performance.
Provide necessary inputs to Internal Audit Function for the development of Integrated Assurance Plan (IAP).
Develop specific Terms of Reference (TOR) for conducting individual audits that contains specific audit objectives, scope, methodology, criteria, audit principles, and details of principal parties (Auditors, Auditees, Coordinators) with clarity on their specific role and responsibilities in the audit.
Identify suitable audit team members for each audit and obtain prior approval from HSE Audit Custodian.
Develop a detailed HSE Audit schedule for each audit in consultation with Principal Auditees that contains the time wise audit plan, details of elements to be audited with the details of auditees and proposed site visits.
Conduct pre-audit briefing for auditors to brief them about the audit TOR, logistics arrangements, HSE Induction and other requirements.
Conduct audit opening meeting with Executive Leadership Team of the audited organization to introduce the team of auditors and to explain.
Lead the audit by actively coordinating with the team of Auditors and Auditees and conducting the audit as per the established audit plan.
Consolidate the audit findings from individual auditors and present the key audit findings.

Regular work contacts with all levels in the organization, primarily with Senior and Middle Management during the development and follow-up of Corrective /Preventive action plans and all related post audit follow-ups.
Regular contacts with similar counterparts in the ADNOC Group of Companies, operating companies affiliated to the Supreme Petroleum Council to provide advice and for exchange of expertise and work coordination purposes.
Act as a single focal point responsible for all HSE Audit related actions on behalf of HSE Unit.
External Communications & Working Relationships
Regular contacts with consultants, external bodies auditors, ADNOC/ Shareholders Auditors.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
8 years’ experience in HSE audits preferably in oil and gas industry. Thorough knowledge of the ISO requirements for Audits. Proven record of accomplishment of leading audit teams.
High skills and knowledge of integrated Management systems, corporate safety rules and international regulations, international standards not limited to ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. Knowledge of UAE HSE related regulations and ADEHSMS preferred.
Experience in all or at least one of the following fields: Drilling, Upstream Operations, Oil and Gas Construction, Gas Processing, Petrochemicals and Refinery Operations.
Professional Certifications
Certified lead Auditor from a recognized Association for HSE related standards (OHSAS18001. ISO14001, etc…)
NEBOSH Diploma in HSE Management or Equivalent is additional.

Work Environment
Normally air-conditioned office environment. Could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions involving heat, humidity, etc. while on site visits.
