A healthcare organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Audiologist to assess and provide rehabilitation services for hearing loss. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in audiology and have at least 2 years of clinical experience. Responsibilities include conducting assessments and fitting hearing aids, along with providing support to patients and their families. Assess patients with audiometric screening, diagnostic, and rehabilitative audiology services for hearing loss and balance disorders
Conduct and interpret behavioural, electroacoustic, or electro-physiologic methods used to assess hearing, balance, and neural system function and prepare a written report
Measure and interpret sensory and motor-evoked potentials; use and interpret results of electromyography, and other electro-diagnostic tests for purposes of neurophysiologic intraoperative monitoring
Assess the candidacy of persons with hearing loss for cochlear implants/ other implantable devices and provide fitting, programming, and audiology rehabilitation to optimise device use
Assess candidacy for hearing aids, fitting and programming of hearing aids, other assistive listening devices, and provide counselling and guidance to patients and their families
Conduct newborn hearing screening and hearing screening for children and adults
Provide audiology rehabilitation services—including speech reading, communication management, language development, and auditory skill development and counselling for psychosocial adjustment to hearing loss for persons with hearing loss and their families/caregivers; perform vestibular rehabilitation by manoeuvres and VRT
Master’s degree in audiology or Master in Audiology and speech-language pathology from an accredited university
Certified vestibular provider or Courses in vestibular assessment and rehabilitation from an accredited institution
At least 2 years post graduate experience in a clinical setting
